In this episode, I talked with anti-racism facilitator, racial and social justice advocate, and pleasure activist Tina Strawn about joy and liberation in advocacy and activism. Tina is the Founder of Legacy Trips, which are three-day anti-racism trips visiting the National Memorial for Peace and Justice and the Legacy Museum: From Enslavement to Mass Incarceration in Montgomery, Alabama, and utilizing spiritual practices, such as yoga, as tools to dismantle racism. Tina is also the owner of the Speaking of Racism podcast, which has been downloaded over 350,000 times. The podcast is dedicated to frank, honest, and respectful discussions of racism in the U.S. Tina is part of the Blaxit social movement and currently living abroad while writing her book, “Are We Free Yet?”, and exploring and examining what it looks like and feels like for a queer Black womxn to be free and find home.
